Ventris Residence reimagines a high-rise apartment on Hong Kong Island as a gentle and contemporary home for a young expatriate family. The project sits on the 29th floor of a well-established estate, offering expansive views of the city while maintaining a quiet sense of retreat.

Our approach was guided by the desire to bring warmth and intimacy to a
generous floor plan. The home draws from the calm structure of English
domesticity while embracing the immediacy of Hong Kong living. Classic details
were simplified and reinterpreted, allowing a dialogue between heritage and
modernity to emerge naturally.

Materiality plays a central role: oak, stone and soft fabrics form a tactile
foundation, while colour introduces a more playful dimension—earthy neutrals
meeting moments of brightness and joy. Daylight is treated as an active
material, softening edges and deepening the sense of stillness through the day.
Ventris Residence continues our exploration of gentleness in
architecture—how spaces can nurture calm, express character through natural
materials, and find harmony between familiarity and change.
